ABC easily tops Monday primetime ratings with two hours of "Dancing with the Stars."

ABC easily topped Monday primetime ratings with two hours of Dancing with the Stars. The performance show, which featured Kirstie Alley losing a shoe, averaged a 4.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 20.4 million viewers overall. That was down 9 percent week-to-week for a season low. But 10 p.m. drama Castle (3.1, 12.6 million) was up 11 percent to win the 10 p.m. time slot. For the night, ABC averaged a 3.9 demo rating with 17.8 million viewers.

New episodes of House (3.2, 8.9 million) and The Chicago Code (1.8, 5.9 million) were down and flat, respectively. But it was enough to put Fox (2.5, 7.6 million) in second behind ABC.

CBS (2.3, 7.6 million) ranked a close third but it was nevertheless a tough night for the network’s Monday lineup. How I Met Your Mother (2.7, 6.8 million), Mad Love (1.9, 5.4 million), Mike & Molly (2.5, 7.9 million) and Hawaii Five-0 (2.4, 9.1 million) all dropped double-digits for season lows.

Univision (2.1, 5.2) was a strong fourth for the night with the 90-minute finale of Eva Luna averaging a 2.2 demo rating with 5.6 million viewers overall.

The return of Law & Order: Los Angeles did not help NBC (1.4, 5.3 million), which was ensconced in fifth place. Two hours of LOLA pulled in a 1.5 demo rating down 32 percent compared to its previous original last December and a series low. And 8 p.m. drama Chuck (1.3, 4.0 million) dropped 13 percent to also hit a series low
