Just after Mickey Rourke finished shooting Passion Play with Megan Fox (the movie where Rourke is a jazz musician who saves Fox -- who's described as as "a circus-freak angel -- from Bill Murray's ownership), he spoke to a bunch of publications and said that one of the privileges of the production was getting to work with such a talented young actress. One memorable interview was when Rourke chatted with a reporter from PopWatch in February, who was intrigued by what he believed was Fox showing a different side of herself. Rourke responded to the observation with, "I didn't know too much about her, except what I had read. And I think the pleasant surprise was this girl who's a world-class beauty turned out to probably be the best young actress I've ever worked with. I don't know if a lot of her films have showcased her acting ability more than, say, being action-oriented, but she really stepped up to the plate with this one and was very consistent and professional. At 23, I couldn't do half of what she's doing." It has since been determined that rather than being shown in theaters, Passion Play will instead be one of those films that goes straight to DVD and is placed next to the small bottles of hand sanitizers you can clip on to your key chains at Target. And that's not the only thing that has changed. It turns out Rourke's opinion of Fox has evolved as well. New York Magazine caught up with Rourke at a screening of Scream 4 last night and after Rourke said the movie he made with 50 Cent was "so bad it can't get out," the reporter asked what the deal with Passion Play was. Rourke commented, "Terrible. Another terrible movie. But, you know, in your career and all the movies you make, there are going to be dozens of terrible ones." When the reporter suggested that it couldn't be that terrible because Rourke previously expounded upon Fox's tremendous talent as an actress and said, "You called Megan Fox, like, one of the best actresses of all time," Rourke corrected him and said with a smirk, "That I worked with."
